Privacy policy

Last updated September 4, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how LUCENT (“Lucent”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, or use the studio. It should be read with our Terms of Use.

1. Who we are

Lucent provides an AI-assisted product-video studio. For privacy requests, use our contact form or email mesbahismailone@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data — email, name, company, role, website, avatar, and similar profile fields you provide; authentication identifiers from our auth provider (Supabase) and, if you use Google sign-in, basic profile information Google shares with us.
  • Project content — screenshots, logos, copy, scene data, voiceover/music assets, exports, and related project metadata.
  • Usage and metering — pages and features used, AI token and credit consumption, free generation counts, export jobs, device/ browser type, and approximate location derived from IP.
  • Billing data — subscription status, plan, and customer/order identifiers processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Communications — messages you send via contact or Help features (which may be delivered through FormSubmit or similar form relays).
  • Anonymous site chat (if enabled) — message content and IP-based rate-limit data when you use the marketing-site assistant without signing in.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate users, enforce plan limits, and process subscriptions.
  • Generate and render videos and AI-assisted copy, logos, voiceover, and music.
  • Respond to support and contact requests.
  • Monitor abuse, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
  • Understand aggregate product usage (including via Google Analytics on the marketing site).

4. AI processing

When you use Lucent AI, LUCENT Director, logo generation, voiceover, music, Help chat, or marketing-site chat, relevant prompts, project context, and assets may be sent to AI subprocessors (currently including OpenAI and ElevenLabs) to produce a result. We use those providers to operate the product, not to sell your content. Provider retention, logging, and training practices are governed by their policies; we configure enterprise/API options when available to limit unnecessary retention, but you should assume prompts and attached assets leave Lucent’s systems for processing.

5. Subprocessors and sharing

We share information with service providers who help us run Lucent, under appropriate contractual terms:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
  • OpenAI — language, image, and (as fallback) speech/ related AI features.
  • ElevenLabs — preferred voiceover and music generation.
  • Lemon Squeezy — payment and subscription processing.
  • Google — Google Analytics (site analytics) and Google OAuth if you choose “Sign in with Google.”
  • FormSubmit (or similar) — delivery of contact-form messages to our support inbox.
  • Professional advisers or authorities when required by law or to protect Lucent, you, or others.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined under US state privacy laws.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, keep sessions secure, and remember basic preferences. We also use Google Analytics on the marketing site to understand traffic and product interest. Google may set its own cookies. You can limit analytics via browser settings, Google’s opt-out add-on, or your device privacy controls. Where required by law (for example in the EEA/UK), we will update our site to obtain consent before non-essential analytics cookies are set.

7. Retention

We keep account and project data while your account is active. After closure or deletion requests, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period (typically within 30–90 days), except where we must retain records for billing disputes, security logs, legal obligations, or backups (which rotate on a longer cycle). Export files and unused assets may be removed sooner as storage policies evolve.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to our size and risk profile, including HTTPS encryption in transit, authenticated API access, role-based access for administrative functions, database row-level security where supported by our host, and monthly AI usage limits to reduce abuse. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk and should use a strong unique password.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of personal information, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. You can update profile details in Settings, cancel a subscription from Billing, and request access or deletion by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Authorized agents may submit requests where the law allows, subject to verification.

10. International transfers

Lucent and its providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as standard contractual clauses used by our providers) and organizational safeguards.

11. Children

Lucent is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy, except where consent is required by law for a specific change.

13. Contact

Privacy questions: contact us or mesbahismailone@gmail.com.
